
Lee Whitmore, Ed.D., is an educator, musician, technologist, and author. He is the Director of SoundTree, the educational division of Korg USA, a leading synthesizer manufacturer. He teaches and presents seminars on the applications of muisc technology in education throughout the United States, and is a trained pianist and synthesizer player.
An advocate of the benefits of technology in music learning and teaching, Lee has studied the uses of electronic musical instruments and computers for more than a decade. At Columbia University Teachers College, Lee recently completed a doctorate in education on the applications of electronic keyboards in music teaching. Lee also served as Teachers College's Instructor of Electronic Music for four years.
Lee is a teacher of teachers, and a developer of music technology products for the home and classroom (with six years experience as a member of Korg's product development team). His experiences have helped him to develop a unique perspective on teaching and learning how to use music technology, and he has a clear and concise way of presenting music technology to new users.
One of Lee's recent graduate students wrote, "Lee is a Zen Master of music technology!"
